Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Puri also encourge the social and cultural values of Odisha. Throughout the year celebrations like Republic day, Independence Day, Janjatiya Gourav Divas, National Youth Day are celebrated with great pomp.

Republic Day and Independence Day

At the Ashrama premises every year we clebrate these days by hoisted the National Flag and national anthem. Students and the dignitaries are present every year.

Janjatiya Gaurav Divas

To memorize the birth anniversary of Bhagawan Birsa Munda, celebrated every year as “Janjatiya Gaurav Divas” (declared by Government of India to commemorate the contribution of the tribal freedom fighters). On this occasion, the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Puri conducted different events. The hostel students performed Tribal Song, Tribal Dance, Speech, Quiz Contest in its premises.

National Youth Day

Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Puri, celebrates National Youth Day every year, with a series of events. The day began with a procession by the students, followed by a ceremony where they garlanded the photo of Swami Vivekananda in the hall. To boost awareness among the students and youths about the character-building and man-making message of Swami Vivekananda, the centre organized sit-and-draw, recitation, essay and elocution competitions for primary, secondary, higher secondary and college & university students. And a prize distribution ceremony for the winners of various student competitions concluded the celebrations.
